ACES TO HOST LATIN AMERICAN BASEBALL CLASSIC NATIONAL TEAM TRYOUTS ON FEBRUARY 23

The Delmarva Aces have teamed up with the Latin American Baseball Classic and will be hosting tryouts for their national teams to play in the Dominican Republic next summer. The tryouts will take place inside the Aces Bishopville Facility on Sunday, February 23 from 9:30AM – 2:00PM. The tryouts will be for all players 9U-18U and it is free to attend. The LABC and its national teams are powered by Under Armour.

The LABC will be held in Santo Domingo, DR on July 31 – Aug. 5, 2025. It features a practice, two exhibition goodwill games, four games for seeding and games into the medal rounds. This event has been going on for the last 32 years and pits nation vs. nation in a winner-take-all international showdown between Latin America and the United States. It is widely considered to be the most prestigious national showcase bid in travel baseball and has seen a ton of MLB players participate in it, with Juan Soto as one of them. The 9U-18U teams are formed from 40+ national trials that attract over 4,000 baseball players every year. Countries that have been represented in the past are the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Cuba, St. Croix, BVI, Canada, etc.

In 2013, the 13U event saw Tommy White and Trey Morgan, both corner guys for LSU in their 2023 Division I National Championship, play for Team USA. Last year, over 500 athletes, staffing and travelers made up the USA delegation for the event. A total of 26 states were represented.

One of our very own, Delmarva Aces Founder/Owner, Dave Whigham will be coaching with the 11/12U team at the event.
