ACES PUMPED FOR ANOTHER EXCITING WINTER, BEGIN ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK

The Delmarva Aces are ready for another exciting offseason as they are set to start up activities on Tuesday, November 5th at the Bishopville location and Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the Middletown location. This is the organization’s 11th offseason. The program is pleased to offer the following this winter:

Winter Academy (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Those in the program, along with our academy players, will participate in 12 winter academy sessions this winter. The academy runs from November to March with players training in pitching hitting, fielding and baserunning. Players must have decided which location they will be training out of and also a reminder that each player is to stay with their assigned groups throughout the offseason. Each session will be led by one pitching instructor, two hitting instructors and two fielding instructors. See links below.

Lil Aces (Saturday mornings at 10AM)

Lil Aces has been a huge hit the last several years and it is back for its sixth year. The Lil Aces are 5U-7U are train in small groups for two hours on Saturday mornings from 10AM-12PM. The Lil Aces do pitching, hitting, fielding, baserunning and learn the basics of how to play baseball. This is meant for the beginners as the basic skills are taught all across the board. Once their 10-session winter season is finished, a 7U group will be selected and the team will play in various contests together. See dates below.

Winter Team Practices (Saturday, Sunday)

All Delmarva Aces teams are scheduled practice slots between Bishopville, Dover HS and Middletown. The slot times vary with each location and the Middletown/Bishopville locations will have two teams split the practice times. After stretching, one team will start with hitting in the cages, while the other team will start in the open area with throwing/fielding. The practices slots are scheduled throughout the winter, but open up to FCFS once the winter season ends in March.

Speed and Agility Group Training (Monday, Friday)

The Bishopville and Middletown locations will each have Speed and Agility sessions on Monday/Friday nights throughout the offseason. Here, those in attendance can train to get faster and more agile. Each night offers several workouts with the younger groups taking one slot and the older players doing another. Ellis Gaulden returns to run the workouts in Bishopville, while Jeff Simpson and Sport Specific Training will anchor the sessions in Middletown. Reminder that this is included in the cost for Aces full-time players, Aces academy players and Lil Aces.

Private Pitching/Hitting/Fielding Instruction (Monday, Friday)

Alongside speed and agility, all kinds of baseball lessons will be taking place inside both locations this winter. The sessions will take place from 2:30PM – 10PM with hitting, pitching, fielding and catching workouts. Some instructors provided one-on-one workouts, while others do small groups. Each location has instructors with professional, international and collegiate playing/coaching experience. Please see list below of instructors are each location:
