The Delmarva Aces are pleased to announce that current St. Louis Cardinals MiLB Hitting Coordinator, Russ Steinhorn, will become the senior advisor of the Delmarva College Prospects (DCP) Showcase Program.

Steinhorn will oversee all of the upper echelon HS talent in our program, where he will use his vast network and reach to place our top DCP players into the some of the nation’s best baseball programs.

The Dover, DE native has an extensive baseball resume. Before his current role with the Cardinals, he was an assistant hitting coordinator for the Philadelphia Phillies. From 2013-2017, he served in the Houston Astros system. That included three years as hitting coach in the New York-Penn League and a year each managing in the Dominican Summer League and Class-A Midwest Leagues. In 2017, Steinhorn was the manager of the Quad Cities River Bandits, the Single-A affiliate of the Astros that had an 86-61 record and won the Midwest League title. In 2016, he was the manager of the Dominican Summer League Astros team that had a 42-23 record. He coached with Clemson in 2017 as well.

The former Clemson University coach will run a pair of hitting camps this winter at Aces locations. The program will host the first two-day camp on November 20-21 in Berlin. The second camp will take place at the Middletown location on January 22-23. Each event will welcome 15-20 hitters between the ages of 14-18 years old. Entrance into these camps are invitation only.

Steinhorn will also be available for private hitting instruction this offseason. The Dover, DE native will train at the Aces’ Felton and Middletown locations.

Welcome Russ! #onefamily
