PIERSON, NOWELL BOTH ADDED AS CATCHING/HITTING INSTRUCTORS AT BERLIN LOCATION

The Delmarva Aces are pleased to announce the hiring of Brock Nowell and Christian Pierson to their instructor staff in Berlin. The pair will both start this fall as catching and hitting instructors. They will train players in lessons, academy and small group instruction. Nowell and Pierson are amongst a group of five new instructors that will do instruction at the Aces Berlin facility this offseason as former Delaware Tech infielder Dwayne Harmon, former Shenandoah University first baseman Kyle Smithhart and current UMES outfielder, Anders Brown, will all help with instruction.

Nowell was a MaxPreps All-American at Conrad High School, where he led the team to DIAA State Championship game as a senior. The 2017 HS graduate was named First-Team All-State two times and was honored to the all-conference team four times. After HS, he played at Florida Atlantic as a freshman but would eventually transfer to Wilmington University. The Wilmington, DE native would play for the Wildcats the next several seasons as their starting catcher.

After college, Nowell became an instructor/trainer at Titus Sports Academy and recently became an assistant coach at Sussex Academy.

Pierson is a 2019 graduate of Delmar High School, where he excelled behind the dish for the Wildcats for four seasons. Christian has been a long-time member of the Aces program, where started with the Aces as 14-year old in 2015. The Delmar, DE product was a member of the Mizuno Aces 2019 American and he eventually committed to play at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA.

The pair will both be doing catching and hitting instruction at the Aces Berlin Facility this winter. Nowell and Pierson are open for lessons starting this fall and will be mainstays in the academy this winter. To schedule a lesson with either of the two, please email delmarvaaces@gmail.com.
