Palenchar recently finished his first season in pro ball with the New York Bucks of the Empire State League. The big lefty hit .324 in 167 plate appearances with nine doubles , three homers and 31 RBI. He was named to the All-Star team this summer, where he finished second in the homerun derby at the event.

The Salisbury, Md., native played collegiately for Radford University and went to the Vanderbilt regional with the Highlanders. After two seasons, he transferred to Salisbury University and finished his career with 42 hits, 27 runs, 38 RBI and four homers with the Seagulls.
