Reilly Degen
Reilly Degen joined the Aces Main staff in November 2021. He is an instructor in the winter academy, does private instruction and coaches with the program.
He played collegiately at University of Sciences in Philadelphia, where he led the team in appearances as a freshman and was on the staff that set the program wins record in his senior year (2017). As a junior, he was 2-1 in 29.1 innings and averaged 10.13 strikeouts per nine innings for the Devils. Before his collegiate career, he played at Cavalry Christian Academy and graduated in 2013. He was a 4-year varsity starter, two year team captain and led the team to three district championships.
Degen began his coaching career in 2013 with the Philadelphia Whizkids as an assistant coach, before becoming a head coach in 2015. He coached showcase baseball with Whizkids American the following year and assisted in the commitments of many different players to DI, DII, DIII and JUCO programs. He ran the pitching program for the Whizkids and assisted with defensive workouts, group hitting lessons and camps. He was also an assistant coach/pitching coach from 2018-2021 with University of Sciences. The Philly native was apart of the coaching staff in 2018 that guided the team to their first playoff appearance in nine years and ultimately set the program record in wins. He graduated from Sciences with a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy.
