Dom DeSabitino was drafted in the 20th round of the 2016 MLB Player Draft by the San Diego Padres. The St. Marks HS product spent four seasons in the Padres organization, including a 4-0 year in 2019 in 24.2 innings with Low-A Tri City (Northwest League). After a year off, Dom moved onto the Atlantic League to play with the Lancaster Barnstormers, where he was 118 innings and was named the July Player of the Month. Prior to his time in professional baseball, he played collegiately at the University of Maryland (2014) and Harford Community College (2015), where he was a JUCO All-American.

Desabitino has experience as a youth pitching instructor as well, where he has trained many pitchers on northern Delaware in practices, academies and lessons.
